The idea behind this project was to create a short catalog layout for a brand of my choice, that brand being the famous action camera company, GoPro. This catalog would consist of from and back covers, two splash pages, a product page, and a designated two-page spread to tell the brand story.
This being a catalog, the primary objective is to share products under the GoPro brand, with special emphasis on the brand new GoPro HERO 10 Black. The secondary objectives are to tell the brand's story and highlight all the unique places you can use a GoPro camera: while snowboarding, mounted to a car, underwater, and so much more.
The biggest challenge of this piece was making it look and feel like it was made entirely by the GoPro design team. That means using GoPro's fonts, colors, imagery, accurate text from various resources, and researching their brand's designs to a tee to get that clean look and feel it's known for.
The final product was digitally assembled, packaged, printed, then trimmed and bound into a physical catalog book.
This piece expanded my knowledge and experience in digital publishing, and gave me great insight into the mind of a designer for GoPro, forcing me to account for the brand, previous assets, and current audience.
